Pro Carton is delighted to announce the launch of its Annual Carton Awards which is run in association with ECMA, the European Carton Makers Association. These annual awards were first run in 1997 and so 2010 will be the 14th time that carton makers across Europe have the opportunity to show what an inventive, progressive and vital part of the packaging industry they are.
After the success of the 2009 Awards with over 120 entries, the format will remain the same as previously with awards being offered in eight separate categories with an additional three special awards being made as well. These special awards are for the most innovative or new use of cartonboard, the entry that most effectively demonstrates sustainability and finally the Carton of the Year.
Entry is now closed for the 2010 Awards. Judging has taken place with the Judging panel led once again by Satkar Gidda of Siebert Head, a leading design agency supported by representatives for the brand and consumer magazine industries. The announcement and presentation of the awards to the winners will take place in September at the ECMA Annual Conference in Vienna where in addition ECMA will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
