The Judging for 2009 has taken place and the winners were announced at the "Night of Packaging" at the Pro Carton International Congress on 25th November in Dusseldorf. As well as the winners in all categories the three major awards were also announced and presented. These are for Carton of the Year, Most innovative or new use of Cartonboard and the Sustainability Award.

The Judges for the Award were Satkar Gidda of Siebert Head who also chaired the judging panel, Pascal van Beek of Unilever, Guido Brosius of Carrefour and Burgunde Uhlig of Brigitte magazine. The Judges were assisted by Peter Klein Sprokkelhorst who acted as a special advisor to the Judging panel.
